HIP & Young Latinas: Addressing Feminine Norms

On Wednesday June 7, Hispanics in Philanthropy (HiP) and TrueChild will host a joint webinar on "intersectional" approaches to improving life outcomes among young Latinx by addressing rigid gender norms.

The webinar is based on a white paper developed by HiP, Frontline Solutions, and TrueChild, and launched at HIP's 2017 annual conference.

Studies show rigid feminine norms can contribute to vulnerabilities among young Latinas in areas like educational achievement, unplanned pregnancy, depression, and suicide. Yet few funders and non-profits address feminine norms in their strategies like they do factors such as race, class, and ethnicity.

Participation in the webinar is free and is open to all; the white paper can be viewed and downloaded here.
